I was hoping to postpome this until after the elections, but the nature of recent events has convinced me of the necessity of not delaying until then, and as the DNC convention starts next week, it seems as if there's no time like the present.
This weekend, for the first time, I am raising funds for myself. To that end, I would request that if you have ever benefitted from this blog, if it was ever able to be of some small assistance, if you ever got a chuckle from the scratchings and caterwaulings of its prickly inhabitant, that you please consider donating some of your well-and-truly hard-earned dollars for your humble gato.

no doubt, be deluged by many better known and potentially even more disappointing donees, all clamoring for your attention and money.

El Gato looks exactly like my cat, Blitz, who passed away of lymphoma this past spring. Makes me feel weepy.
